Rosa e romanticismo – introducing Dolce & Gabbana Beauty

It’s been some time since I’ve posted on here and I do apologise. I’ve been busy working on Unicorn Manor, I wanted to share my latest obsession: Dolce & Gabbana Beauty. Many of you might know that I absolutely adore Dolce & Gabbana for their exquisite designs that exude romance, elegance and Italian craftsmanship.

One of my favourite perfumes is Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana and while fragrances and sunglasses were always accessible to us, their beauty range wasn’t until recently. It was only recently that I discovered that Dolce & Gabbana Beauty was finally available to buy in Australia at MYER of all places. I’m always a bit wary of trying new makeup lines and started off trying a gorgeous Rosa Duschessa luminous cheek colour which features a blush compact of complimentary pink shades with hints of warm rose gold metallics that visually make up a rose flower. I find that a little goes a long way with this blush.

My second purchase was a Miss Sicily tinted moisturising lipstick in shade Lucia. I usually get chapped lips easily so thought this would be great for me – for me this product is a miss for the price you pay. At $49AUD it definitely was more sheer and opaque then I was expecting.

I also purchased the Brow Powder Duo and the Classic Cream lipstick in Tease from Harrods. I’ve actually never used a brow powder before, I typically always use a cheapie brow pencil from Daiso (which for $2.8 you can’t really go wrong) but recently saw a makeup tutorial using this brow powder and decided to give it a go. It comes with a detachable brow brush and makeup brush which works well for application but I found really awkward to use. I found Tease to be the perfect shade of muted pink for my skin tone and the colour lasted for a whole day and through lunch too.

Final thoughts
Overall I think the Dolce & Gabbana Beauty brand is still very new in the market and while limited ranges/products are available in Australia, their presence is still little to none and as such I could only try a limited selection of products. Because of this I wouldn’t prefer to spend alot of money on D&G Beauty unless the full range was available to try/buy and to be honest Chanel makeup, Chantecaille and Estee Lauder are in my opinion more value for money for what you get and is more luxurious.
