Introducing the deliciously new Wheels & Dollbaby SS13 campaign titled Social Aristocracy, one of my favourite collections to date, the collection is filled with cute satin cocktail dresses, signature pencil skirts and glamourous floral laces that resonate old Hollywood glamour. This season’s inspiration is drawn “from the art of detailed Japanese hand-painting, reminiscent of 1940’s silk kimino designs. The collection is an acumination to social nobility and frivolity”.
The instantly recognisable Wheels & Dollbaby glamour and edge is evident throughout the sophisticated new season pieces – constructed veritably from sleekly fluid satin, diaphanous silk, Frence lace, Bardot gingham and an abundance of coquette flroal prints with a French Chinoiserie feel. My favourite pieces include the cute two piece bouclé Le Coco suit and cute Bardot gingham Holiday in Nice picnic lace dress which I will be shooting next weekend and can’t wait to you on the blog.
