STOLEN GIRLFRIENDS CLUB. HERE LIES THE BONES AW11/12

The Stolen Girlfriends Club Here lies the bones AW11/12 show was set in a warehouse, in typical SGC style – I have been a fan of SGC for a solid few years and so was very excited to see what the boys had in store for autumn winter.

The show began with a series of female models wearing beautiful vintage ‘prom’ dresses; some of which I actually really loved to wear, with Madonna blasting. I’m sure everyone was feeling how I was pondering – in shock: was Stolen Girlfriends Club drastically changing their direction and aesthetic? Then, simultaneously in sync with the beat of the music each model rips the vintage dresses off to reveal the Stolen Girlfriends Club womenswear designs. While I missed the menswear show which was showcased outside the warehouse in the parking lot before scheduled, the womenswear show was all rock n roll and absolutely stunning! Even though I had popped into the SGC studio a few days prior – thereby seeing the collection and was able to touch and feel them all, seeing the collection – worn, on models was the icing on the cake. I particularly love the unique black and white doodle like print, the amazing fur jackets and fur bucket bags as well as the stunningly delicate skeleton ‘knit’ design which came in a maxi dress style and as well as simple yet chic tees.

Absolutely stunning cohesive and perfectly balanced and true collection Dan, Luke and Marc! Congratulations!
