Missed last night’s party?

Earlier in the year in May during RAFW I was fortunate enough to get invited to the Stolen Girlfriend’s Club Ss2011 runway show. Just a recap on that collection: Stolen Girlfriend’s Club SS2011 collection was called Life’s A Beach… Watch out for the Crabs where tribal prints, jewel encrusted bandannas and the return of old school grunge glam came down the runway. And this left fashionista’s with an urge to hook up with a tattooed indie boy, to wear bandannas in their hair and to bring out their high waisted panties and leather. For those who don’t know the Stolen Girlfriend’s Club are a New Zealand label which has sorta been adopted by the Aussies as one of their own.

When I was emailed their latest lookbook for AW 2011 it really excited my bones. Their latest collection called Last night’s party is described as being about “the promise, anticipation and possibility of a night that could take you anywhere”. As usual expect their signature grunge, rock n roll aesthetic, expect cute baby doll ruffle dresses, perfect little black dresses,lace and warm knitted pieces, beautiful floral prints and lots of fur all styled with deliciously dangerous spike chokers and bracelets (lets hope these babies are also for sale). You New Zealand boys have done it again! Well done and I can’t wait to get my paws on some of these pieces (I particularly love the red ruffle dress and of course the unique black dress. It made me cry out loud when I first saw it! Fantastic!!) xx
