So tonight I attended the Ginger & Smart pre-RAFW Spring Summer 2011/12 collection show called ANON, which was held off site at the beautiful Wooloomooloo wharf. Beautiful, bright block colours coupled with classic G&S tailoring, digital prints and laser cutting make up the collection.
Sihouettes combine the classic Ginger & Smart signature masculine and feminine elements with a new emphasis on the juxtaposition of a sharp collar and floating lengths. Prints give a nod to an emerging digital landscape, while colours materialise in dynamic visual marriages of high tech tones achored by deeplu emotive shades of rust with hot pink, acid yellow with navy and fleeting shades of grey.
I spied the beautiful Rachel Rutt as well as Louise van de Vorst among the models walking the runway show! Such a fantastic warm up to next week’s RAFW! Can’t wait for the intense full schedule week! Bring it on.
