After the wild success of the Baroque inspired AW12 collection, Dolce & Gabbana’s latest SS’13 Ready to Wear collection follows suit with floral detailing, embellishments, lavish lush prints and some killer accessories to rival Alexander McQueen. This collection like the last is all about drawing on the brand’s rich Italian roots: “Saluti da Taormina,” promised the Dolce & Gabbana program notes. “Mare. Sole. Amore.” (Greetings from Taormina. Sea. Sun. Love.)
With a strong well over 100 piece collection, this post is a bit image heavy (just because I couldn’t choose what not to show you, though I did manage to cut it down a far bit) but I’m sure you appreciate it. I’m still obsessing over the Dolce & Gabbana AW12 baroque inspired collection – lush floral prints are on my wishlist. So my favourite pieces from this collection would have to be all the heavenly floral pieces and the rich Roman-esque soldier printed pieces as well as the amazing shoes!! What are you’re favourite looks? Do you prefer this or the last collection better?
